Data Extraction Leakage Testing and Data Use Analysis
- Laser Chili Developers will be clear, honest and transparent about the data that would be accessed including the purpose(s) for accessing that data.
- Laser Chili Developers will download data from the production server to their local system for debugging purposes only.
- Selling Partners will be made aware of this download through appropriate mechanisms.
- Applicable monitoring controls have been put into place to ensure the downloaded data from the production database contains only non-Personally Identifiable Information (PII) elements such as the product’s name and inventory details and is deleted once the issue is solved.
- Appropriate monitoring mechanisms have been put into place to ensure no residual data with Personally Identifiable Information (PII) remains on local machines used by Laser Chili developers. Appropriate deletion mechanisms would be established to delete any accidentally remaining PII residual data.
- Laser Chili will utilize its PII access from Amazon SP API only to query PII for the Amazon marketplace orders and not request Selling Partners to manually add or upload PII. Selling partners would be made aware of this. Laser Chili will raise awareness of this for internal Laser Chili employees on a quarterly basis.
- Laser Chili will restrict 'manual' edits of order data. Edits should only be done programmatically via APIs, but if absolutely needed - the changes should be logged (original and modified fields). Laser Chili Developers are made aware of this and this is also reiterated on an annual basis.
